Emacs for Windows!

Hi!
I have started to learn assembly at scool on a linux computer on which I use Emacs.
At home I use windows and would like to write in Emacs for windows, I have found Emacs for windows at gnu.org, but I don't know if it's the same as for Linux.
When I save files on Emacs I save files with extension .s
CAn these file formats be opened in the windows based Emacs?
